This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Cloud Engineer with a specialist MedTech software company who provide a cloud-based solution which allows medical professionals to automate the information flow between medical testing, results and patient records.  

 

This role is crucial for ensuring that the technology infrastructure can support the company's rapid growth and scalability needs. The role involves managing and maintaining a resilient and secure Azure infrastructure, transforming business requirements into scalable solutions, collaborating with software engineering teams and driving continuous improvement.

The person in this position will have a key influence on how the environment is shaped and extensive autonomy and flexibility within the role.

 

The main focus of this role will be to:-

  • Oversee and maintain a scalable, resilient, and secure Azure infrastructure.
  • Own the infrastructure technology roadmap and project scoping.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Foster collaboration with the software engineering team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in infrastructure technology and processes.
  • Evaluate and plan for the implementation of new infrastructure technologies.
  • Proactively identify and address issues.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure partners.
  • Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Manage the infrastructure budget.
  • Maintain documentation for all infrastructure layers.
  • Assist in analyzing outages and developing preventive plans.

 

The individual in this role should have :-

 

  • A minimum of 4 years industry experience as a Cloud engineer
  • Expert level knowledge of Azure  including:
    • App Gateway, App services, function apps
    • Azure Backup + Azure Site Recovery
    • Azure files + storage accounts
    • Azure Landing Zones
    • Azure Network and Firewalls
    • Azure Monitor.
    • Azure SQL security, backup, recovery, resilience.
    • Azure Virtual machines
    • Identity - Azure EntraID, Active Directory, EntraID Connect
    • Core networking, security, server, virtualisation, and active directory technologies.
    • Firewall management + VPN tunnels.
    • Microsoft Intune MDM.
    • Scripting – PowerShell, Azure CLI, JSON.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
  • Hands-on technical expertise of working in modern public cloud platforms
  • A best practice approach to writing infrastructure as code
